Supernatural (TV Show)'Demon' Knife
Step 1
You will need: (thickish) card, foam/padding, silver/brown/black/white paint, masking tape, and a black marker.
Step 2
First step is cutting the thick card in the shape of the knife, this is what you'll build the shaping on so it needs to be the full outline of the knife hilt included. I just freehanded this roughly (pen marks don't matter) as shown in the first pic
Step 3
Once this is glued on, tape over the 'blade' bit with maski tape to hold it all together and give it even surface edges.
Step 4
Now to add the fatter foam pieces to the hilt to give that a nice shape. Cut out two shaped pieces like the black foam in the image to the right- one for each side of the card- then tape over this completely like the blade part.
Step 5
Now paint the 'blade' silver, with any paint you like but multiple coats works best to get that nice metallic sheen. If you really want to get it perfect I'd recommend using some sort of primer and sand that down to get a nice smooth finish before you paint. (I was too lazy for this at the time.)
Step 6
Finally copy on the inscriptions and paint the handle a mix of streaky brown shades to give it the appearance of wood.
